Severn Estuary: Triassic intertidal rock platform with Holocene mud beds and salt marsh

The Severn Estuary on the western coast of England has some of the highest tide ranges in the world, approaching 15 m. This trip will examine both the ancient and modern aspects of this dynamic inter-tidal environment.

Logistics

The fieldtrip will meet in the early evening of July 12th. The exact location will be chosen later depending on number of attendees (as this will impact on hotel choice). Travel to Leeds post-trip, accommodation, breakfast and evening meals are included in the cost.
